Partner Terms for Restaurants
Draft (version 2026-10) – to be reviewed by a lawyer before publishing. Replace every [PLACEHOLDER].
1. Scope
These terms apply to restaurants (“Partners”) that offer deals to BitePass members through the BitePass app, operated by [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] (“BitePass”). The Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy apply in addition.
2. Partner account
- BitePass reviews new partner accounts and may approve or decline them.
- The Partner keeps its profile (name, address, map position, opening hours, phone, photos) accurate and up to date.
- The Partner may invite staff members. Staff accounts can view the restaurant's deals and bookings; they cannot change deals or the profile. The Partner is responsible for its staff's actions and removes access when a staff member leaves.
3. Deals
- The Partner creates up to 3 deals in the app and chooses the deal type and the waiting time before a member can use the same deal again (7, 15 or 30 days).
- BitePass reviews deals before they go live and may reject misleading or unlawful deals.
- Deals must be described clearly, including conditions and exclusions.
- Members redeem a booked ticket by swiping it in the app in front of the staff. The Partner checks the ticket on the member's phone and honours every valid ticket within its opening hours.
- The Partner may pause or delete a deal. A deleted deal is taken offline after 24 hours; tickets booked before stay valid until they expire.
4. Fees
[Commercial terms: listing fees, commissions or free partnership, invoicing and payment terms.]
5. Content
The Partner guarantees it holds the rights to the logos, photos and texts it uploads and grants BitePass a free, non-exclusive licence to display them in the app, on bitepasslb.com and in marketing for BitePass for the duration of the partnership.
6. Customer data
The Partner receives the booking details needed to honour deals (deal, date and time, status), not the members' contact details. It may use this data only to process redemptions, must keep it confidential and must comply with the applicable data protection law.
7. Ratings and reports
Members can rate Partners and report problems. BitePass may contact the Partner about reports and may pause deals in case of repeated justified complaints.
8. Suspension and termination
Either party may end the partnership with [30] days' notice. BitePass may suspend a Partner immediately for serious breaches, e.g. refusing valid tickets or misleading content. The Partner can delete its account in the app; its restaurant is then taken offline and its staff accounts are removed.
9. Liability
The Partner is solely responsible for its products and services, including food safety and allergen information, and indemnifies BitePass against third-party claims arising from them. Mandatory statutory liability remains unaffected.
10. Applicable law
Lebanese law applies. Courts of [Beirut] have jurisdiction.
